Product Details
The Fireside Cardigan knitting pattern is simple and appropriate for newer knitters looking for a first sweater pattern. Seasoned knitters may like to follow the instructions as written, or use them as a blank canvas for embellishing with their own lace or cable designs. You can work this round-yoke knitting pattern from the top-down, and finish it without ever sewing a stitch. The cover sample features short sleeves for those chilly days between seasons. Instructions are also included for a more traditional long-sleeved version. The body and the sleeves are meant to be a close fit, with negative to no ease in the chest area.
Required Skills
The project is geared towards intermediate knitters and motivated beginners. If you have these skills:
Long-tail and backwards loop cast-ons | Knit and Purl | Increasing and decreasing | Picking up stitches | Basic bind-off
then you can do this.
