Pops of colour and strong angles transform a simple checkerboard motif into a bold design full of movement. Customize the colour scheme and elevate your room décor.
The colour blocks are worked in long Garter Stitch strips, each joined to the one before it as the blanket grows, so there’s no seaming and only one colour in use at a time. Spit splice joins to minimize weaving in of ends. Simple increases and decreases create the chevrons.
This pattern includes detailed written instructions, an assembly diagram, and a "colour it yourself" sheet to design your own colourway.
Techniques: Modular knitting, cabled cast on, all knit sts (garter st only), increases/decreases (kfb/k2tog), working modular sections from a diagram and written instructions, no seams.
