These mittens are the BOMB! In the winter of 2006 my then 6-year-old described to me EXACTLY what she needed in a mitten. It turns out that to do things right in the great outdoors she needed to have her fingers easily accessible, but she also needed to be able to cover them up whenever she got too cold. I was happy to oblige, and the flip-top mitten was born. These mittens are knit at a very dense gauge so that water and snow can't get through to your digits. Be careful! Everyone will be clamoring for a pair. The pattern is written for both fingering (sock) and worsted weight yarn, and is sized for the whole family (9 sizes.)
