In 2016 I was invited to contribute to a worldwide CAL (crochet-a-long). The CAL was to provide a set of square motifs from designers around the world and you can read more about it here: https://calcrochetalong.wordpress.com/
Flower Compass is the second of 2 squares that I was asked to design, and it was the second one published in the CAL.
It was designed in aran weight yarn using a 5mm crochet hook, and is approx. 12” (30cm) square. But can be made in any weight of yarn provided you use a suitable hook size, and of course the square will be a different dimension if other yarn is used.
The square motif can be used in blankets, cushions, scarves – anything. It mixes well with the Octoghan Square which is also available on LoveCrochet.
The pattern is written in English crochet terms and is charted, it is also available in a number of other languages in my Ravelry shop.
