Product Details

The gorgeous color in this yarn reminds me of pansies, the deep violet and the gold and the green. That got me started—I looked up the meaning of the word “pansy”. The word “pansy” comes from the French word “pensée” that means “thought” and the word “pansy” was imported into the English language in the 15th century. And, William Shakespeare made a reference to pansies in Hamlet: “Pray love, remember: there is pansies, that’s for thoughts.” Hence, the pansy flower has become known as the flower of “thoughts”.

Flower of Thoughts is crocheted from side to side forming a shallow boomerang-shaped scarf. The stitch pattern is simple and is easy to memorize, so you can just relax and crochet.

This is a quick project using one skein of fingering or sock weight yarn of at least 435 yards. Because it’s so quick it makes a great project for gifting!

The pattern includes a schematic, written instructions and a chart to help you get started.
