Product Details
This shawl was inspired by primroses and wood anemones glimpsed on the forest floor on a sunny spring morning.
Suitable for knitters with a little experience of lace, or a confident/adventurous beginner, it is adjustable in size and can be worked with a single skein of laceweight or 4-ply/sock yarn.
The main body is worked in a traditional Estonian pattern comprising a simple 8-row repeat. This develops into a diamond and flower edging that can be blocked into neat points.
My sample shawls were worked in the following yarns: Small Laceweight version - Watercolours and Lace Alpaca Lace or Alpaca Silk Lace
Medium 4ply/sock yarn version - Watercolours and Lace British Alpaca/Silk 4-ply
The pattern is presented in chart form.
