Product Details

This fox-shaped scarf was knitted using 2 x 50gm balls of Rowan Felted Tweed in rust with his nose in black and his eyes in green DK (buttons or beads could be used for eyes instead, if preferred). His chin, inner ears and tail tip are in white DK. His paws are black. Please note: Rowan Felted Tweed goes a long way so, if you want to make this scarf in any other DK, you will need more wool - please check the yarn length given on the ball band. I have also made a black version in Rowan pure wool DK and that took 3 x 50gm balls for the same size fox scarf.

The top of the face is in black for the nose, then white and rust, and knitted on 2 needles. The bottom of the head is knitted in the same way – but just in black and rust. The body is knitted in rounds on a set of 4 double-pointed needles, size 4mm (8). The fox’s face is sewn together afterwards and the one in the photograph has been lightly stuffed with washable toy filling. The tail and legs are knitted in rounds using
