Product Details

About this Design: Sorted circles or “Frost Boils” occur during the process of soil heaving caused by the freezing and thawing cycle. Larger particulates tend to be pushed to the surface more frequently than smaller ones and then shifted to the outside where they remain, creating circles. Sorted circles have a border of stones surrounding a centre of finer material as shown in the inspiration photo below. For more information on this process and other effects of frost on limestone barrens, visit this very informative website - www.limestonebarrens.ca.

After finishing the Frost Boils Cowl, there was still a generous amount of yarn left for these boot cuffs.
