Product Details

About this design: Sorted circles or “Frost Boils” occur during the process of soil heaving caused by the freezing and thawing cycle. Larger particulates tend to be pushed to the surface more frequently than smaller ones and then shifted to the outside where they remain, creating circles. Sorted circles have a border of stones surrounding a centre of finer material as shown in the inspiration photo.

If you wish to make the full set, you will need a second skein of the MC yarn and CC1 yarn. After finishing the Frost Boils Cowl and Frost Boils Boot Cuffs, there was still enough of CC2, CC3 & CC4 yarns left for these fingerless mitts.

Yarn: 200 (235, 275) yards/183 (215, 251) meters of merino or wool sport weight yarn that knits up to 5.5 sts/inch.

Shown In: Bare Naked Wools ‘Confection Sport’ (375 yards/343 meters; 100% Corriedale wool). For multi-colour version (Medium) as shown, 1 skein each in: MC: Milk Chocolate CC1: White Chocolate CC2: Nougat CC3: Cookies and Cream CC4: Dark Chocolate
