Product Details
Mistletoe and snowdrops are synonymous with the season of winter, the pure white of the berries and petals are always a joy to see in the gloom of the shorter days. I have designed Fructus Hiemis, the fruits of winter, as adornments that you can used to decorate whatever takes your fancy: as a brooch, on a wreath or on a tea cosy. I have included the pattern for a small tea cosy as well as the instructions for making a tiny wreath from a 10cm/4in embroidery hoop. You could use any oddments of 4ply yarn for the snowdrops or mistletoe but something woolly like Jamiesons of Shetland or WYS signature 4 ply would work very well. I held two strands of 4 ply together for the tea cosy but you could easily replace it for a Heavy DK or Worsted Weight yarn.
