Meet Norbin Nibbleweed the orange bearded gnome! You'll have to excuse Norbin if he's a bit bashful at times. Like his other gnome friends he prefers to be hidden deep in the forest working in his wood shop, tending to his garden, and digging underground among earth's treasures.
+ The pattern is written in English using US crochet terminology.
+ The skill level needed is intermediate (but ambitious beginners are always encouraged to try!).
+ The techniques you will need to know are the chain, single crochet, slip stitch, half double crochet, increase, invisible decrease, working in the front loop and back loop only, how to change colors in the round, the crab stitch, and the adjustable ring.
+ To complete the Crochet Gnome you will need yarn in your choice of colors (about 227 yds total in worsted), a size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook, stitch markers, tapestry needle, stuffing, pins, scissors, chopstick to help stuff, and an optional pet slicker brush if you want to brush the bear
