Product Details
The Gradual Beginner Wrap was designed to teach makers the basics of crochet! It includes the four basic stitches (chain, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet), and a variation on each of those stitches. The pattern includes a standard crochet pattern, a full photo tutorial (both right and left handed versions are included), as well as a descriptive written pattern perfect for beginners. This pattern was inspired by my friend Penny Stricklin (part of the wife-and-wife team at Cesium Yarn) and her knit design, the Gradual Beginner Shawl.
Note: This PDF is extremely long, be careful if you decide to print!
Pattern is written in US crochet terms.
Yarn: DK weight (weight 3). Approximately 685 yards. I used approximately 600 yards of Cesium Yarn Merino DK in the color Fuchsia Flower. Note that tester yardage varied widely (as low as 470 yards, and as high as 760 yards) - having extra yarn available is never a bad thing!
