What you'll need
Product Details
Inspired by the book Alice in Wonderland, the Cheshire Cat is my favourite character and is perfect for a scarf to cheer you up on cold, grey days.
This pattern is not just for children...the scarf (particularly the long one) is very popular with bookloving adults too
It provides 2 options: a short vintage tippet/neck hugger style which measures 85cm, an ideal size for children and adults who don't want bulky scarves; a long version, complete with legs - which measures 185cm
Knitted in Paintbox Yarns Simply DK in colours: Tea Rose, Raspberry Pink and Dusty Lilac - you'll need 1 ball of each and this will give you 2 short scarves or 1 long scarf.
You will also need a small quantity of: bright yellow 4ply for the eyes (10m will be sufficient) black 4ply for features and claws (approx 5m) white 8ply for the grin (approx 3m)
Gauge isn't important
Both scarves are knitted in one piece (modular for the long version) to avoid the dreaded sewing up. The head is sewn on.
