Product Details
This cozy cardigan is worked from the top down, and requires only a minimal amount of seaming. The collar is worked first in sideways garter stitch and then the stitches for the yoke are picked up along the long edge of the collar. The yoke, sleeves and body are then worked down in one piece. The pattern includes detailed instructions for the pockets, which are not complicated! Also included are instructions for i-cord edges, but you can work garter edges if you prefer to avoid i-cording. I think it is best worn with about 1 or 2 inches of positive ease. Sizing is easily customized by adjusting the number of stitches cast on under the arms.
The finished cardigan is shown in Berroco Blackstone Tween Aran weight, colour 2607. A suggested substitute colour is below.
