Product Details
This pattern is for a pair of mauči - Latvian knit & beaded cuffs, showcasing three beaded hearts on each cuff. The pattern is both written and charted and is suitable for beginner knitters as well as experienced knitters wishing to try out knitting with beads.
The cuffs are knit sideways in garter stitch with beads pre-threaded onto the yarn and inserted between stitches one by one. This beading technique does not require any special tools or skills, the only difficult part is getting the beads in the right order when stringing, so it’s a good idea to check yourself before you start knitting.
You will need about 25g of fingering weight yarn and size 9 seed beads in two colours. In the modelled pair, Gutermann Size 9 seed beads were used.

The cuff size is 10.5 x 16 cm (unseamed) for an adult female wrist circumference, but can be adjusted to a child's wrist by using lace weight yarn.
