Product Details
This pattern is for a garter stitch 2-colour scarf/wrap in four lengths.
The petite size can be worn either way up, folded completely in half as a scarf or folded along either of the two coloured sections to act more like a wrap. Its length will depend on the neck size it is being made for - for a 12 inch neck it will be approximately 36 inches long.
The longer sizes grow as zigzags in the middle section which results in a gentle wave along the edges. The scarf folds naturally across either colour section. Approximate sizes: Short 42”, Medium 49” and Long 56” measured tip to tip.
This scarf requires equal yardage (150-280 yards) of each of two colours of the same weight yarn - it has been tested using 4-ply/fingering and sport weight. It will look good in variegated yarn with a matching solid/semi-solid colour, two shades of the same colour or two different complementary colours.
Instructions are provided for changing yarn colour mid row. This is not as straightforward as in stocking(ette) stitch but not difficult, although it may not be suitable for beginners.
