The pattern is written in both US and UK terminology (one file with both terminology).
The finished owl ends up approximately 11cm tall (including ears) using similar yarn and hook size. Thinner yarn and a smaller hook size will produce a smaller toy and vice versa.
Gauge is not important - just make sure the stitches are tight enough so that the stuffing doesn’t show through.
