Product Details
Beautiful cables frame an eye-catching basketweave texture on this wonderful cosy wrap.
Hot Chocolate Wrap is a long sideways-knit shawl worked from tip to tip in an elongated, tapered shape. This makes it fun to knit and easy to wear.
The pattern is written for DK weight yarn, but it is easily adjustable if you wish to use a different yarn, weight and/or make a smaller/larger shawl according to the yardage you have available. The sample was made in Miss Babs Killington (DK weight, 85% Polwarth Wool, 15% Tussah Silk, 120 g = 320 m / 350 yd), 1.95 skeins used (234 g = 624 m / 683 yd) in colourway Field Mouse. An alternative is given below.
Fully written row-by-row as well as charted instructions are provided so you can choose which you prefer to work from.
I hope you enjoy the pattern!
Gauge on sample: 19 sts x 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4“ in basketweave stitch pattern after light blocking.
Needles used for sample: 4.5 mm / US 7
