Product Details
Knitted seamlessly from the top down, Humphrey has an all-over texture which adds interest and warmth to this classic V-neck jumper.
To make the shaping of the V-neck, and the stitch pattern placement, easier to follow, I have provided charts for the fronts of the jumper. If you don't like to work from charts, I have also given full written instructions – there are no'at the same time' instructions in this pattern.
Knitting begins flat, in rows, until the V-neck shaping is completed. The fronts are then joined and the rest of the jumper is knitted seamlessly in the round.
Stitches are picked up around the neck opening and worked in a k1p1 rib, with stitches decreased either side of a central knit stitch.
Techniques used in this pattern: Knitting in the round, maintaining pattern while shaping, directional increases, directional decreases in knit and purl, picking up stitches. It will help to have some knowlege of seamless knitting.
