Product Details
The fingerless “Ice Fairy Mittens” are knitted in the round with double pointed needles. After a straight part, start knitting the thumb, continuously increasing the stitch numbers. Finally, the thumb is finished separately.
The indicated yarn consumption is also sufficient to knit the matching “Ice Fairy Hat” (see on my LoveCrafts page)
The mittens fit a hand circumference between 18,5 cm – 21 cm. The model in the photos has a hand circumference of 18,5 cm. To change the size, you can choose a smaller or larger needle size or use Jamieson´s of Shetlands Double Knitting (sport weight, 75 m/ 25g) instead of Spindrift.
The 10 page pattern contains nice photos, a knitting technique tutorial, knitting instructions and clear colored charts.
Techniques used: long tail cast on, knit & purl in the round on double pointed needles, yarn over needle, knit 2 stitches together, knitting with 2 colors at the same time, bind off stitches
