Sometimes when you have finished the knitting on a project there is a lot of sewing up to be done - not everyone's favourite activity! So, for some time now I have been working on the idea of minimizing the sewing and designing a pillow cover knit on a circular needle - and here it is, incorporating my favourite cables of course!
Knit using aran/worsted/#4 yarn and a 5mm circular needle, the finished cover will fit a 14”/35cm square pillow insert. It has a three button closure at one end so that it can be easily removed to change your seasonal décor or for washing if needed. Buttons on the other end are purely decorative. Add to the back if you like as well to make your pillow reversible.
If you are familiar with using a circular needle as well as a cable needle and working buttonholes you should have no trouble with this pattern.
