What you'll need
Product Details
The cables and twisted stitches keep the project interesting, but the pattern is not complex, especially for knitters with cable experience. The thumb gusset is achieved by transitioning from the twisted stitches to stockinette, which has a looser gauge than the cables.
Required Skills: The mitten is worked in the round from the wrist up. THe stitch pattern uses twisted stitches, as well as cable crossings. The mitten top is closed using the Kitchener Stitch, a technique not explained in the pattern. All of the directions are written. Both the main cable pattern and the mitten tops are charted. The pattern does not recommend a particular method for knitting small circumferences in the round.
