Product Details
The Friulian crochet is particular crochet technique that dates back to the end of the 19th century, when women in Friuli, in the far North-East of Italy, developed a way of crocheting that was elegant, sophisticated, but at the same time thick and resistant.
The prestigious Italian magazine "Mani di Fata" dedicated three whole monographs to Friulian Crochet between 1925 and 1930. The pattern I am now presenting you is an adaptation with modern techniques of the original crochet motifs from the 1920s monographs.
In this pattern you will find a written explanation on how to crochet the motif, together with explanatory diagrams.
The final square will measure 6 x 6 inches.
This Vintage Art Deco series wants to be a tribute to Friuli, my homeland, and to the Belle Epoque of the Italian Novecento!
