Product Details
Use one solid yarn and one slowly self-changing yarn, and knit this Andean-inspired hat. Earflaps are optional but oh-so-warm.
Two-colored rows are easy, though!!! It does not matter if you use only one hand (whichever you prefer) or one yarn in each hand.
If you knit with your right hand, just pick up the yarn you need for each stitch, and drop the other.
If you know how to knit with either hand, consider trying one yarn in each hand and see if you like that.
If you use only your left hand to tension yarn, make sure the yarns pass through different paths between your fingers. I put one yarn over my index finger only, and another over the first two fingers.
On December 30, I gently revised the text of the pattern. The only changes are on page 1 and page 3, where I suggest that perhaps some knitters would benefit from using a larger needle (about 2 sizes larger)
