Kira is a perfect knitting project for beginners: The stitch pattern is an easy to knit broken ribbing, you start working bottom up in rounds first, then you divide the body into back and front and continue by working in rows until end. The sleeves are worked in the round directly into the armholes.
The sweater is intended to be quite short resp. cropped. But it's easy to work it in any other length.
I used a hand-dyed light fingering yarn from a German dyer (yardage 459 yds/100 g) - but feel free to use any other yarn that fits to gauge.
