A complete tutorial for 3-D knit scales! I designed these scales to fill (and surpass!) the niche that in the crochet world is occupied by the crocodile stitch. There are 5 sizes, 2 textures, and 2 variants per size/texture combo of these elegant, natural looking scales. Learn how to start and finish a scale on both wrong and right sides of your work, different ways to arrange them to achieve an organic flow, how to move from one size to the next, and more. This 41-page tutorial contains dozens of pictures and written & charted instructions. These scales have no ends to weave in and are perfect for making dragon-, mermaid-, anything-scale garments, accessories, and objects!
