Knitterbug Shawl is a very simple pattern using a few standard knitting elements: garter stitch, yarn-over increases, eyelets, and an I-cord edging. If you are familiar with these elements you will whiz through this pattern. If you are not familiar with any of these, you will be happy to learn these simple and commonly used techniques, and end up with a lovely, functional shawl or scarf.
I pulled yarn from deep in my stash. It is Queensland Haze, a corn viscose/cotton variegated yarn (DK/Light Worsted). It was being closed out when I first discovered it years ago. Any yarn will do, but I recommend a variegated yarn from your stash. Use whatever size needle is recommended for your yarn weight. The finished size is up to you.
I have added a second option to the pattern with a contrasting color eyelet row. There are new instructions for using a MC and CC below.
