Product Details
This special baby is my one-piece, top-down summer cardigan tutorial. It can be made in bust sizes from 28-56", with a variety of yarn thicknesses (DK through Fingering or Lace weight), and a variety of gauges.
To simplify, I am showing approximate yardage for DK weight yarn as shown in the modeled lime option (slim version, versus full-figured, no sleeves versus short sleeve model). If you are making the Full-Figure option, add another 10-20% to your yardage; if you are making the half-sleeves, add an additional 10% to your yardage.
The cardigan begins at the back neckline, and works down allowing you to check your gauge as you go. You can choose your body width, yoke depth, and body length along the way, as well as your sleeve length and tailor the fit for slim through max full-figure. Oh yes, and there is also a choice for the edging: Lacy or "No nonsense."
The sample was worked in Filatura Lanarota Cool Cotton. A substitute yarn is shown below.
