What you'll need
Product Details
This is a pattern for an ornately wide cabled scarf. There are also instructions contained within the pattern for a stole, (17 1/2 inches wide) a shawl 21 inches wide, and a narrow scarf, (7 1/4 inches wide) giving you the choice of what you’d like to make. This scarf is knitted with light worsted weight. The scarf is approximately 12 inches x 78 inches, but can be altered as stated above, and requires approximately 800 - 1000 yards. The focal cable stitch comes to us from Canada and the creative mind of Annie Maloney. The cable is quite unusual as it has mini-cables within the cable. The stitches are both charted and written out. Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a very good working knowledge of cabling .) There are also instructions for an optional crocheted border, should you want it edged. The yarn used in the sample is Handmaiden’s Eden yarn. Any DK or light worsted weight yarn will work for this pattern.
