I haven't made anything for my grandson yet and he is too cute for words; so it is time. I thought a little vest would be just the thing. I wanted to add some texture without making it girly so I chose a simple cable pattern for the center. And then flanked it with a twisted rib pattern. The vest is constructed from the top down in one piece with short-row shoulder shaping. The trim and bottom band can be worked in a contrast color as shown are worked in the same color as the body.
