Product Details
This pattern is made using 5 doublepoint needles and with any doubleknit wool, although I have suggested the wool I used, which gave the brick work a lovely texture. The house is robust enough to use as a toy, or keep as a beautiful ornament.
The pattern details how to knit a one, two or three storey house, with or without dormer window. It also shows you how to make a small bird for the roof. The main walls of the house are knitted in the round, and this means there is only a little sewing up at the gable ends of the roof.
The details on the house are embroidered on after the house has been stuffed. The pattern contains a diagram to help you with the sizing and position of the doors and windows. If you want add extra details to personalize your house you can see more photos on my blog ginxcraft, and there are photo tutorials here to help you with the embroidery stitches you will need to make animals, trees etc.
