Brimmed hat with knitted magnolia flower, picot edging, and soft folds. Brim shape is created through geometry and tight gauge - no cardboard or plastic! Hat can be trimmed with buttons instead of a flower if desired. Hat can be made longer than cap length pictured, but you will need more yarn.
The brim's structural integrity comes from the recommended cast on, the tight gauge, shaping, and leaving the wraps in place unless otherwise specified.

Worsted weight, approx. 190yds, If you want a longer hat, not the cap as pictured, you’ll need more yarn. The pictured cap used the entire skein of Brown Sheep worsted. For the flower, you’ll need small amounts of two contrasting colors.
