ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Malachite Shawl evokes the natural beauty of the mineral malachite in vibrant color with banded and whorled sections just as found in nature. The Malachite Shawl is a semi-circle worked from the top down with simple increases, garter stitch edging, banded sections that continue from the top all the way through the bottom edge and whorled lace repeats at the bottom. Lace is charted and written. This shawl is part of my Malachite Duo along with the Malachite Cowl.

Yarn: 1000 yds [915 m] Fingering weight
Sample knit in Dream in Color Jilly in the color 019 Green Lantern and used about 250 g or 975 yds [890 m].
Needles: Size US 2 [2.75 mm]: 32” [80 cm] or longer circular needle
Notions: 12 stitch markers (one unique), tapestry needle
