Product Details
My husband has been asking me to make him a Norweigan style fisherman's sweater. He was very specific in what he would like. Fairly simple pattern over the whole garment, stripes on the rib sections, and reserved colours. I can see this style of sweater for sale, but could not find quite the right pattern, so decided to make my own design.
The pattern has eight sizes from 32-46 inch chest, so could be for men or women. I probably should have thought of this before I named it.
It is knitted in DK, and I think would also look nice with navy, if you were going for a different traditional look. You will need 3.75 and 4.0 mm needles.
Knitted in two colours you will need this weight of yarn, depending of size you are knitting.
DK wool: Shade One 180g, 195g, 235g, 250g, 275g, 300g, 320g, 350g
Shade Two 300g, 325g, 390g, 415g, 460g, 500g, 530g, 580g approximately, depending on length of body knitted and arms.
