Product Details
My Mangaster Beanie is the fourth in my series of beanie patterns inspired by the countryside, flora and fauna of Northmavine. The beautiful area in the North Mainland of Shetland which I’m blessed to call home. My Mangaster Beanie was inspired by the colours and patterns I see in the rock faces we pass almost every day heading to and from our home. I’ve always found the contrast between the pink seam cutting through the grey rock fascinating. My husband laughs at me as I can often being found taking photos of odd things for pattern ideas whilst he is looking out to sea! These rock faces are on the road near Mangaster - one of our favourite places to view the sunset here. It is an ideal knit for those wanting to try colourwork for the first time - only 3 colours are used throughout and the stitch pattern is easily memorised.
