Materials required: Small map panel – 0.75 mm crochet hook, No 80 crochet cotton or No 70 tatting thread - 2 x 5g ball (195 yards/180 metres. Large mat or doily – 1.50 mm crochet hook, No 10 crochet cotton – approx 325 yards/300 metres.

Approximate finished sizes: Small map panel – with top header 6½-inches/16.5 cm by 8¼-inches/21 cm, without top header 6½-inches/16.5 cm by 6¾-inches/17 cm. Large mat – with top header 13-inches/32.5 cm by 17-inches/42.5 cm, without top header 13-inches/32.5 cm by 14½-inches/36.25 cm.

Gauge – Small map panel – 18 tr=1-inch/2.5 cm and 9 rows = 1-inch/2.5 cm. Large mat - 10 tr = 1 inch/2.5 cm and 4 rows = 1-inch/2.5 cm.

1 of a set of 4, the larger mat will also make a good cushion cover.
