Product Details
MEGAN - a nice and cosy and beautiful Fair Isle jumper I made many years ago in a Shetland wool. But it deserves a renaissance for which I am bringing it up again. The pattern describes the Fair Isle way of working this jumper - all in rounds. Drop-sleeves worked from top towards cuffs. Detailed written pattern with charts. Included in the pattern is also how to expand the bust width. Suitable for all age groups. Skill level from 1 (beginner) to 5 (advanged): 5. The measurements throughout the pattern are given in cm as well as inches.
Material: this design applies to a 4-ply fingering-weight shetland type wool, 50 g = ca. 210 meters. Intotal 400 g divided in 4 colours.
Originalen is worked in a Shetland wool from Hunters of Brora, but sadly it does not exist anymore. This wool was the same type and weight almost as Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift which would be a good alternative.
Tension/gauge in stocking st: 28 sts using needles no 3 mm = 10 cm (4 in).
