Product Details

Mimosa is one of those plants that really make me happy, it has a wonderful smell, but most of all it’s the shape and colour of those fuzzy little flowers. Like clusters of small suns they light up any garden or flower bouquet, and when portrayed by nupps or beads, any shawl.

This triangular shawl is knitted with increases in the middle and along the edge leaf motifs. It requires 400 meters of lace or fingering weight yarn. Use needle size that gives you a nice lacy effect. For beaded version about 255 beads are required and a crochet hook to place them.

The shawl can be enlarged by adding additional repeats. The pattern is charted, wrong side rows are all purls.

I don’t recommend using stitchmarkers between the charts as they would have to be moved extensively. It’s a perfect opportunity to practice reading previous rows in your lace!

Yellow shawl is knitted in Malabrigo Lace [100% Merino, 470 yd/430m per 50g skein] it used 35 grams knitted on 3.5 mm (US 4) needle
