This wrap is inspired by a costume piece from the new Hunger Games movie, Catching Fire. It is gorgeous, warm, and it looks like a piece of modern armour. I made a miniature version of it because my daughter loved it so much!!! What a great way to empower young girls. Who doesn't want to be Katniss Everdeen? She’s tough, brave, cool, and really inspiring. This cowl might be intimidating, but this is an easy way to make it, and I am glad to share it with you.
The pattern is written for 2 sizes S (7-9yrs) and L (10-12yrs). The cowl is designed to be worn on top of the jacket so it is a little larger.
Skill level: beginner to intermediate Skills required: knit, purl, increase, bind off, work in round, which are also explained in the pattern
Materials:
circular needles size 9mm(US 13)
5 stitch markers
200gr chunky wool yarn. Alternatively you can work with two strands of aran/DK yarn held together
