Morning glory shawl

This is an experienced beginner crochet pattern for a crescent-shaped shawl with softly curving edges, a wide lacy band with zig-zags created by the use of eyelets and a frilly ruffle around the outer edge.

The shawl sits easily on the shoulders and surrounds them similarly to a capelet, ending just under the elbow.

It can be made either in a long gradient or a single color.

The pattern is simple and meditative in the beginning and becomes more challenging as the lacy part is built.

You can make fewer or more panels for a shawl that covers more or less of the body.
