Product Details

This is a pattern for a very “long wingspan” crescent shaped shawl that is comprised of two different lace stitches. The focal stitch of the shawl is a beautiful open stitch lace. The ornate lace edging stitch is added in the traditional Shetland manner, and gives a beautiful and graceful bottom to the shawl. (The edging matches the edging of the socks of the same name.)

The shawl measures 70 inches at the widest points across the top and is 26 inches deep at the deepest point. It is made with a heavier of the fingering weight yarns, and is knit on size 7 (U.S.) needles. The shawl requires approximately 1100 yards of yarn, and is knit on size (U.S.)#7 needles.

The stitches are both charted and written out line by line.
