My Honey is a vest (with a long sleeve sweater option) knitted top down using the raglan method. Inspired by my toddler, who is the sweetest thing in the world, the vest incorporates a neat honeycomb pattern, making it a fun knitting project!
Skills: Long-tail and backwards loop CO, increasing, decreasing, reading charts, knitting 1x1 cables, circular knitting, wrap and turn short rows, magic loop (optional)
Needles: 16” and 32” double pointed and circular needles in size A (the size necessary to obtain gauge, recommended size US 5 3.75 mm) and size B (one size smaller than gauge needle, recommended size US 4 3.50 mm)
Gauge: 21 sts x 40 rows = 4” in garter st 24 sts x 32 rows = 4” in honeycomb pattern after wet blocking
Notions: tapestry needle, stitch markers, scrap yarn, 7/8” wide grosgrain ribbon, 5-6 snap fasteners, sewing needle, sewing thread
