Product Details
‘On the Edge’ - a collection of 4 triangular shawls all named after mountain peaks with breathtaking cliffs: The Sentinell, High Bluff, Mitre Peak and Nanga.
All shawls share the same easy construction, they are worked on the bias from the right tip and start with one stitch cast on.
Nanga is made out of lace weight yarn. It is knit in ridge pattern and framed with wide lace and fake cable borders. At the first glance it might look quite elaborate and challenging but if fact is is very simple to make with nothing more than knit, purl, yarn overs and gathered stitches. Thanks to the bias construction it has fabulous drape.
There are very little written instruction as the borders are all charted.
A shawl for a more advanced knitter.
Light as a feather, soft as a cloud, Nanga is simply a must for a romantic in you!
Shown in Welthase “Angel Lace”. A suggested substitute yarn is shown below.
