Product Details

This is a pattern for a light weight shawl, just the ideal weight for a spring or fall evening, or even if you’re sensitive to air conditioning in the summer. It knits up fairly quickly and would make the ideal gift, for yourself of someone that’s special to you.

The shawl is made up of two different lace stitches that are both charted and written out line by line. The focal lace stitch is a variation of different leaf lace patterns, and comes to us from Japan. The final size is 22 1/2 inches by 72 inches.

There are also instructions for an optional edging contained within the pattern, should you want it edged.

Skill Level: Beginner + - Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting). It is suitable for a beginner with a little bit of lace experience.

The yarn used in the sample is Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport undyed.

Any heavy weight fingering or sport weight yarn will work for this shawl.

No crochet hooks are needed if you don't want to crochet the optional edging.
