Product Details

"With the comfort of my sweet little one in mind, I wanted to design a very soft and warm hat. Lofty and incredibly soft, the Rowan Lima was perfect for it. Alpaca is definitely one of the warmest fibres one can knit with!

As for the Fair Isle detail, well, I wanted something that would remind of argyle, yet being different. I also wanted a pattern that could fill the whole height of the hat (without being too loud) in order to protect from freezing winds. In the end, I found the perfect little pattern, traditional yet modern, versatile to fit both boys and girls."

**Gauge and needles for 1st, 3rd and 5th sizes: **26 sts per 10 cm over stranded pattern worked in the round with larger needles; 4.0 mm and 3.25 mm (or size required to achieve gauge)

Gauge and needles for 2nd, 4th and 6th sizes: 24 sts per 10 cm over stranded pattern worked in the round with larger needles; 4.5 mm and 3.75 mm (or size required to achieve gauge)

Further notes: The yarn chosen is knitted at a tighter gauge to ensure a denser fabric that will provide added warmth and resistance to wind. The beginning of the round changes location twice in order to limit the jogs within the fair-isle design elements.
