What you'll need
Product Details
The weather has been cooler lately, definitely requiring a jacket – or a good warm sweater. This is how Olive came to be, a double-breasted cardigan that fits the bill somewhere in-between. Worked in Aran weight wool of basic stockinette and garter stitches, the resulting dense and springy fabric is perfect for its subtle shaping, and especially cozy wrapped around you – twice – with six buttons closing overlapping fronts. Worked flat from the bottom up, Olive is begun as one piece, then split to separate front garter panels from their stockinette center. Each is worked individually, then seamed. Sleeves are knit in the round and set in. You’ll find this super quick knit to be comfortable, stylish, and fun. Enjoy!
SKILLS REQUIREDLong-tail CO, circular knitting, decreasing (ssk, k2tog), increasing (m1L, m1R, yo), short row shaping, Kitchener st grafting, seaming, setting in sleeve caps, and blocking.
