Product Details
I was requested to make a blanket for the new addition to the family as I had previously for my other grandchildren. This is what evolved, finished just in time!
I knitted my blanket in one piece, on straight needles, using seed stitch & garter stitch. The motifs are created separately & stitched onto the finished blanket.
For easy care, I have used a DK acrylic yarn throughout (Stylecraft Special DK), with the motifs worked from my rather large stash collection.
The blanket takes a total of 255g of the stated yarn to make (100g main colour plus between 4g – 20g of 13 other colours to work the stripes), plus lots of oddments for the motifs so could make an ideal stash project. I have listed all the colours used in this pattern but obviously this is open to interpretation & personal choice. Other DK yarns of choice could be substituted.
The pattern is in pdf format on 19 pages, with line by line instructions & photos of each of the motifs to assist with completion.
