Product Details
This is a pattern for a very light weight shaw, made using fingering weight yarn. The shawl is the ideal weight for a spring or fall evening, or even if you’re sensitive to air conditioning in the summer. It knits up fairly quickly and would make the ideal gift, for yourself of someone that’s special to you.
The shawl is made up of a single lace stitch that is only charted. The focal lace stitch is a variation of different leaf lace patterns, and comes to us from Russia. The final size is 22 1/2 inches by 72 inches.
There are also instructions for an optional edging contained within the pattern, should you want it edged. If you don't want it edged, you won't need the crochet hooks.
Skill Level: Beginner + - Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting). It is suitable for a beginner with a little bit of lace experience.
Any heavy fingering weight yarn or sport weight yarn yielding approx 5 sts/inch in lace stitch aggressively blocked will work for this pattern.
