We’ve had some rainy weather as we move into the fall season here in Victoria; the umbrellas and warm clothes have appeared all around town. This project is inspired by those things, as well as by all of the cropped, bulky, boxy sweaters I’ve been seeing. This piece combines a super bulky Shetland & Alpaca blend with a bulky weight alpaca yarn, which means that this project knits up very quickly! It’s a top-down yoke style sweater, so no seams to sew on this project.
Yarn MC: The yarn I used here is a handspun blend of alpaca and Shetland from a talented spinner out of Saskatchewan in a super bulky weight. (Find her at www.facebook.com/spinitsask). You will need approximately 300/350/375/400/450 metres of super bulky yarn in the main colour for this project.
