Product Details
Parasol is a very versatile pattern that can be knit in DK or lace-weight yarn. The DK version is perfect for cool spring days, while the lace-weight, knit in cotton or silk, is best suited to shading your shoulders when the sun is shining (rather like an actual parasol, in fact!).
Both versions are knit in exactly the same way, but the pattern includes instructions for altering the width. So if you’d like to knit it as a narrow scarf, you can! You can also wear it with the border folded down like a shawl-collar.
There are both written and charted instructions. The chart is laid out in lots of sweet colours for your enjoyment and ease of knitting.
Please also [watch this video][1] for a demonstration of how to work the central decreases along the edges.
